As we settle into the new year, we want to express our sincere thanks for your ongoing support. Your continued support plays a vital role in our ability to provide compassionate end-of-life care to individuals and families facing life-limiting illnesses.
Since opening our doors in May of 2018, Huron Shores Hospice has had the honor of serving 139 guests and their families. Each individual, a unique story, each family, a testament to the strength of community and compassion.
As we look back on 2023, the team at Huron Shores Hospice is overwhelmed with gratitude for the meaningful moments that unfolded.
Here are some key highlights that define our journey over the past year:
40 Guests in 2023: In the year 2023 alone, Huron Shores Hospice had the privilege of providing care and support to 40 guests. Your trust in our services enables us to continue making a difference in the lives of those facing the end of life.
Supporting Families and Friends: Beyond our residents, we recognize the importance of extending our care to families and friends. On average, for each resident, we support a network of five family members and friends. It's a collective effort that forms the heart of our compassionate community.
Over 7000 Volunteer Hours: Volunteers are the backbone of our organization. In an average year, the dedication of our volunteers shines through, contributing over 7000 hours of their time. Their commitment to our mission amplifies the impact we can make together.
Grief Recovery Program: Our Grief Recovery Program saw active participation from 21 individuals in 2023. These sessions, facilitated by trained specialists, provided a safe and supportive space for individuals to navigate the complexities of grief, finding healing and solace in shared stories.
Whether you've been with us for a short time or have been a part of our journey for years, your connection to Huron Shores Hospice is valued and appreciated. As we move forward into the new year, we look forward to sharing moments of inspiration, updates, and progress with you.
